Newton's first brick courthouse, a Greek revival building,built in 1847	Constructed in 1924, Newton's second courthouse was placed on the same grounds as the original.	Museum of History. In 1992 the Catawba County Historical Association took over the 1924 courthouse and converted it into a county museum.
